Obituary

Celebrating the Life of Ron Arthur Kopp

Ron Arthur Kopp, a gentle and deeply kind soul, passed away peacefully at his home on June 23, 2026, while doing what he loved—tending to his garden. He was 72 years old.

Born on June 15, 1954, Ron grew up with a heart for his family and his community. He was a proud graduate of UW-Eau Claire (Class of 1976) and Eau Claire North High School (Class of 1972). Throughout his professional life, Ron was a dedicated employee, bringing his hard work and reliability to National Presto Industries, Phoenix Steel/PDM Bridge, and Group Health Cooperative.

An avid sportsman, Ron was a lifelong, passionate fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. In his younger years, he took the mound or field for the Legion Baseball League in 1971 and 1972. Later in life, he could often be found on the golf course or at the bowling alley, where he proudly achieved the ultimate bowler’s milestone: rolling multiple perfect 300 games. Ron also cherished the simple pleasures of the family farm, always looking forward to the blueberry patch season and welcoming everyone who came to pick them.

Above all, Ron will be remembered for his immense kindness and unwavering devotion to his family. He selflessly took care of his mother, Ruth, until her passing, and subsequently poured that same love and care into looking after his brother, Mark. Ron is survived by his loving niece, Caroline Fisher-Haase, her husband Jeremy, and their daughters, Jacquelyn and Cienna. He is also survived by his nephew, Alan Kopp, and his fiancé, Dr. Alix Chrumka; as well as his cousins, Jeffrey, Richard Jr., and Randy Kopp, Robert Tyler, Marjorie Tyler, James Stewart, and Pamela Tyler.

He was greeted in heaven by his parents, Arthur and Ruth (Tyler) Kopp; his brothers, Mark and Wayne Kopp; his uncles and aunts, Richard and Deloris Kopp, Merle and Alma Stewart, Lavonne and Ben Stelter, Ray and Phyllis Tyler, Toby and Todd Tyler, and Irene Kopp; and his cousins, Mary Rae, Larry Hoepner, and Tim Tyler.
