Obituary

Ronald A. Marmsoler, 86, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at Dove Health Care Center. He was born on July 20, 1919, in Elgin, Minnesota, the son of Michael and Mabel (King) Marmsoler. He graduated from Lewiston, MN High School.\r\nRon married Eileen Engel in 1950 in Spokane, Washington. Together they farmed in rural Elmwood. Eileen died in 1975. Ron then moved to Blair where he worked as a custodian for the Blair School District. Ron loved dancing and that is where he met Janet (Doescher) Spindler, whom he later married on June 18, 1980, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. \r\nRon also farmed in Lewiston and Eyota, MN, Spring Valley and Blair, Wisconsin. Ron retired from the Eau Claire Public Schools in 1986. \r\nRon enjoyed draft horses on his farm in Blair. He also enjoyed farm auctions, horse sales and horse pulls, and was a helpful neighbor and friend to the local Amish. Ron was a kind, honest and loving husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa who could fix anything, and his greatest treasure was enjoying his family. He will be deeply missed.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Janet; a daughter, Maxine (Ronald) Kalisz of Morton Grove, Ill; two step-daughters, Diane (Perry) Nyseth of Mondovi, and Cindy (Roger) Stauffer of Sanford, MI; grandchildren, John, David and Kevin Kalisz, Chad and Hal (Michelle) Nyseth, Rebekah (Joshua) Woehrer, Daniel (Kelly), Michael and Philip Stauffer; great grandchildren, Michael and Isabella Nyseth; and many nieces and nephews. \r\nHe was also preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Evelyn Klonicki.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2005, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastors Joel A. Hoelter and W. Roger Stauffer officiating. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Rock Elm Township near Elmwood, WI, on Tuesday.
