Ronald L. Noyes, 83, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2016 at Milestone Memory Care after a battle with Alzheimer's. Ronald was born on November 27, 1932, a son to Evans and Minnie (Missman) Noyes in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Ronnie graduated from Senior High in Eau Claire where he loved tumbling and playing baseball with his brothers. Ron was married to Betty Schladweiler shortly before joining the Army and proudly serving time during the Korean War as a medic. As an adult, he spent a lot of time camping and skiing with family and friends on the Chippewa River. Ron worked at Uniroyal for 22 years. He enjoyed bowling, watching the Green Bay Packers and golfing. Later in life when graced with grandchildren, he liked nothing better than spending hour after hour with them in the backyard pool. He also spent time golfing with his brothers and friends and on two occasions shot a hole in one. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty; two children, Steve (Sue) Noyes and Lori (Vernon) Erdman; four grandchildren, Angela (Mike) Friend, Brian (girlfriend, Lauren Carlson) Noyes, Katie (fiancé Jamie Zeff) Mooney, and Andrew (financé Kristin Hansen) Noyes; two great grand-daughters, Kyleigh and Kyra Friend; sisters, Phyllis (Lyle) Woodford and Helen (Bob) Millsap; sister-in-law, Denise Noyes; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Dick and Lennie Noyes; and sister, Ethel Mae Paulson. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on July 27, 2016 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Avenue in Eau Claire, with Pastor Benrud officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place in Rest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association Greater Wisconsin, 3313 S Packerland Drive, Ste E, De Pere, WI 54115.
