Ronald J. Zillmer, 68, of Altoona died Sunday, September 17, 2006, at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home. He was born in Eau Claire on March 5, 1938, the son of Lloyd and Helen (Mathwig) Zillmer.\r\nRonald married Beverly A. Jump in Eau Claire on January 20, 1956. He married Jennette Egge on December 31, 1976.\r\nHe worked at Eau Claire Co-op, moved to Wisconsin Dells where he managed the Kilbourn Co-op Exchange there, lived for a time in Montana and then Texas where he was security officer at J.C. Penny's. Returning to Eau Claire, Ronald was a truck driver until his retirement.\r\nRonald is survived by his mother, Helen of Eau Claire; three sons, Mark Zillmer of Colfax, Jeff (Tina) Zillmer of Laurel, MD and Tim (Shelly) Zillmer of Portage; daughter, Pam (Mark Best) Zillmer of Mondovi; and their mother, Beverly (James) Wahl of Eau Claire; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five brothers, Gene (Debra) of Ladysmith, Randy of Chippewa Falls, Jan of Winona, MN, Don ( Linda) of Bloomer and Doug of Chippewa Falls; five sisters, Kay Flint and Arlene (Jim) Holden both of Bloomer, Sharon (Ardell) Bauman and Merrie (Gilbert) Crist both of Chippewa Falls, and Lori Petrlik of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.\r\nRonald was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; and three brothers, Gary, Wayne and Alan Zillmer.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Fall Creek. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. (Today) Tuesday, September 19, 2006, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.\r\n
