ROSALIE O. GANONG SHAW, 93, formerly of 1105 S. Barstow, died Tuesday, November 26, 1996 at the Area Nursing Home in Colfax. She was born March 15, 1903 near Colfax, Wisconsin to Fred and Mary (Fjelstad) Quevillon. Rosalie married Carylton Ganong in Colfax on June 12, 1920. They farmed first near Colfax and then later moved to farm on the Truax Prararie near Eau Claire. Carylton died in 1947. She later married George Shaw who died in 1969. She worked at Mount Washington Residence until her retirement in 1966. Rosalie was a member of Truax Congregational United Church of Christ where she had been active in Women's Fellowship. \r\nSurvivors include a son, Clayton(Dorothy) Ganong of Eau Claire; a daughter, Sharon Losey of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Gaylon; two daughters, including an infant at birth and Audrey; three grandsons, Van, Curtis and baby boy Ganong; six brothers, Arthur, Clarence, Wilfred, Marshall, Ausman and Earl; two sisters, Ella Quevillon and Katie Follingstad; \r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday at Truax Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. William Heins officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,Colfax. Friends may call 4 to 7 P.M. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\n
