Rosemary Brown, 78, of the town of Union, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at her home. She was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on November 12, 1927, the daughter of Thorwald and Theresa (Bellock) Thompson. \r\nShe was the devoted and beloved wife of Garfield R. Brown. They celebrated fifty-nine beautiful years together, and owned and operated GR Brown Company. \r\nRosemary is survived by her husband, Garfield; eight loving children, Gary (Shirlee) of Huachuca City, AZ, Steven, and Jacquelin (Dennis) Brown-Peterson both of Eau Claire, Terry (Rosemary) of Northport, AL, Robert (Bobbi) of Eau Claire, Janet Price of Broken Arrow, OK, David (Mary) and Nancy (Scott) Stene both of Eau Claire; a loving step-daughter, Kay Lentz of Eau Claire; twenty seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. Rosemary was close in heart with her brother John (June) Thompson of Eau Claire. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Dean Thompson of Eau Claire, Florence Rhode of Chippewa Falls, Shirley Gardiner of Lakeside, CA, and Irene (Ed) Dyer of Houston, TX; two sisters-in-law, Irene and Carol Brown both of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; a step-daughter, Judy Buckwheat; a granddaughter Valerie Rose, her beloved brother Bill Thompson, brothers, Dale and Bob Thompson; and four sisters, Caroline McNamara, Gladys Jovonovich, Betty Chase and Loris Wolfe.\r\nRosemary devoted her life and love to her husband, children, grandchildren, and her faith. When asked what she would do when she got to heaven, she said "I am going to jump into the arms of Jesus". She was a gentle, soft-spoken, tender, loving woman who made everyone feel special and loved. She collected dolls, angels and loved working in the yard with the sun on her back and the wind in her hair. She had a wonderful time with Garfield visiting Norway, and meeting relatives and friends. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Epiphany Lutheran Church with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.\r\nThe family wished to thank Northwest Wisconsin Homecare for their hospice care.\r\nMom, Momma, Gramma - we miss you, your beautiful face, your tender heart.
