Rosemary Mattson, 74, of 1227 Barron St., Eau Claire, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, died Friday, March 8, 2002 at her home. She was born on March 31, 1927 to Gustav and Rose (Bonus) Soley in Eau Claire.\r\nShe attended Sacred Heart Grade School and St. Patrick's High School.\r\nRosemary married Ernest Mattson on June 30, 1946 in Eau Claire, and celebrated 55 years of marriage. She was in the restaurant business in Eau Claire for many years, was a member of the North Side Business Association, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Ernest; her daughter, Cheri (Daniel) Kelley of Blaine, Minn.; a sister, Betty McManus of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Patrick Kelley of Las Vegas, NV. Ann Kelley of Jackson, WY, and Tim Kelley of Minneapolis, MN; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Art Soley Sr. and Henry Soley; and a sister, Helen Soley.\r\nThe tapestry of Rosemary's life was woven by bringing fun, food, caring and a listening ear to others. All who knew her, loved her.\r\nMemorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. \r\nMemorials may be directed to St. Francis Food Pantry.\r\n
