RUANE E. (FLYNN) SKEELS, 92, of Eau Claire, died Thursday, June 1, 2000 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona. She was born on August 5, 1907, in Marshfield, WI to John Floyd and Pearle (Lindsley) Flynn. Ruane married John Hartley Skeels September 28, 1940 in Iowa. She was employed at Sears Department Store for many years where she worked in advertising and window display. Ruane was a hospitable person to all she met and loved dearly by her friends and family. \r\nSurvivors include two sisters-in-law, Catherine and Florence Flynn; nieces and nephews; and many good friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Allison and James Flynn.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Reader Barbara Horton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Eau Claire County Humane Association.
