Ruby M. Hamler, 91, of Eau Claire died March 27, 2006, at Dove Healthcare. With the devoted help of her family, she was able to remain at home until her recent illness. \r\nRuby was born June 17, 1914, in Fall Creek, WI, the daughter of William and Bertha (Haase) Janke. She graduated from Fall Creek High School. \r\nRuby married Lawrence A. Hamler on April 15, 1936, in Fall Creek.\r\nShe was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church.\r\nOne her greatest joy's was spending time at her lake cottage with her family, and fishing and gardening.\r\nShe is survived by four sons, Bill Hamler (Dorie Fierer), Wayne (Judy) Hamler, Larry (Sandy) Hamler, and Jim Hamler all of Eau Claire; a daughter, Darlene (Lyle) Shaver of Clare, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Mike (Bobbie) Hamler, Pat (Donna) Hamler, Shelly (Jim) Buell, Troy Hamler, Greg Hamler, Todd Peck, Matt Peck, and Christine (Scott) Brown; twelve great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends; and her beloved cat, Elvis.\r\nRuby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; two brothers, Otto (Leona) Janke and Carl (Nellie) Janke; and three sisters, Wanda (Lawrence) Anderson, Lydia (Ernest) Welke, and Elsie (Guy) Gilbertson.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.\r\n
