Obituary

Ruby E. Miles, 89, of Eau Claire, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born October 27, 1918, in Fairchild, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frederick and Blanche (Wilson) Hobart. She lived in Fairchild until the age of 15. \r\nRuby married William P. Miles on September 4, 1934, in Fairchild. \r\nShe worked 25 years as Office Manager at Kresge's Department Store until her retirement. She then worked at Kmart and Thompson's Hardware Store.\r\nShe had been an active member of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ where helped organize many meals through the years. Ruby was a real "People Person", who through the years enjoyed crocheting gifts for her family, and was always ready for a shopping trip. \r\nRuby is survived by her son, Maynard (Marilyn) of Madison; two daughters, Janice (Richard) Sanders of Conroe, TX, and Linda (Gerald) Neibauer of Hudson; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William in 1979; two grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders and Chad Neibauer; two brothers, Guy and Orson Hobart; and two sisters, Lucille Lange and Irene Klemstein.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2008, at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ with the Pastor Debra Boynton officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Augusta, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, 2010 Moholt Drive, Eau Claire, WI 54703.\r\n \r\n
