Ruth E. Bowlin, 67, of Holcombe, WI, after a long fight with COPD, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire with members of her family by her side. Ruth was born on March 5, 1945, in Bloomer WI, to Harold and Mary (Gavin) Boggess. After Ruth graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire, she married Monte Beau Bowlin on August 10, 1963, in Maine. She lived in Racine, Park Falls, Chippewa Falls, and Ellsworth WI. Ruth had worked for many years with her husband, before her last job in Red Wing, MN. Ruth moved to Holcombe, after retirement, with her husband in 2006. Ruth is survived by her husband, Monte; two sons, Gary (Angie) Bowlin of Menomonie, WI and Ron Bowlin of Cooperville, MI; one granddaughter; one step-granddaughter; one step-grandson; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two sisters. In keeping with Ruth's wishes, no services will be held. She will be deeply missed by her husband and friend of 55 years.
