Ruth P. Halberg, 82, formerly of 1412 Whipple St., Luther Lakeside Apts., died Monday, June 2, 1997 at the Clairemont. She was born September 25, 1914 in the town of Drammen to Elmer and Alvi (Anderson) Huntsinger. She grew up in Eau Claire, graduating from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1932. On March 9, 1935, Ruth married Everett A. Halberg in Eau Claire. She worked 22 years as beautician and manager at Fay's Pamper Box until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. Ruth enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends, and over the years enjoyed quilting, crochet and other handwork.\r\nSurvivors include two daughters, Karen (Leu) Skeels of Eau Claire and Sandra (Paul) Dutter of Tempe,AZ; five grandchildren, Steven Skeels of Chippewa Falls, Mark (Sandra) Skeels of Watertown, Shari (Robert) Grillo of Brewster,NY, Richard (Ivette) Joseph of San Diego,CA and Vicky (Jeffrey) Myers of Mesa,AZ; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maurine Huse and Ada Dutter both of Eau Claire.\r\nRuth was preceded in death by her husband, Everett in 1977; a daughter, Joyce Jenson; a great-grandson, Michael Grillo; a brother, Ellsworth Huntsinger and a sister, Lillian Huntsinger.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church. \r\n
