RUTH C. HOLMAN, 83, of 1105 Eddy Lane died Monday, July 21, 1997 at her home. She was born September 30, 1913 in Evansville, Wisconsin to Lemuel and Maude (Fairbanks) Courtier and grew up in the Evansville area. She graduated from Whitewater Teachers College, Whitewater in 1935. Ruth married Glenn C. Holman on July 5, 1941 in Evansville. She taught High School in Alma Center and they owned Mr. Holman's Beauty Salon until their retirement in 1976.\r\nRuth was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Glenn (Kathleen), Fairbault, MN; two daughters, Cheryl (Robert) Marx of Wisconsin Rapids, and Naomi (Warren) Woods, of Eau Claire; seven grandchildren; a brother, Veryl (Wilma) Courtier of Madison; several nieces and nephews.\r\nRuth was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn in 1996; a son, Charles; her parents and a sister, Audrey.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.\r\nHer fine Christian life was devoted to her family.
