Ruth A. (Hougaard) Blom, was born Nov. 17, 1919 and passed away on June, 9, 2024 at the age of 104. Her years of employment were in retail and insurance. In 1961 Ruth moved to Chippewa Falls where she was united in marriage to Pastor Axel Blom who was serving Our Saviors Lutheran Church. After his death, she moved to Altoona and since 2018 has lived at Grace Willowbrook Assisted Living, Eau Claire. Ruth is survived by her step-daughter, Connie; daughter-in-law, Marie; two step grandchildren and five great step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Axel; step-son, Paul; three sisters and four brothers. A deep and sincere thank you to the staff at Willowbrook and to Lily Hospice for their care and compassion. A Celebration of Resurrection will be held at Spirit Lutheran.
