Sandra A. Petersen, 2111 North Lane, Eau Claire, former Stanley area resident, and beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on May 6, 2006. \r\nSandy owned and operated the Harmony House in Stanley for many years, which was renowned for the great food and camaraderie. In 1981, she moved with her husband and family to Eau Claire. For many years, she sold Mary Kay cosmetics and was well-known for her annual garage sales. \r\nSandy's kitchen was a well-known place where friends and family gathered, sharing much laughter, love and coffee. Rarely did a day go by when she did not entertain an endless stream of those that she loved and those that loved her. People gravitated to her for her sharp wit and humor.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her father, John Wavaday; mother, Helen (Cook) Wavaday; brother, John Jr.; and sister, Mary. \r\nShe is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Chlorn; brothers, Edward and Robert; sister, Dee Phernetton; daughters, Mary (Kurt) Van Roy, Linda (Fuzz) Schneider; sons, Wendell (Valerie) Frisinger and Bernie Rominski; stepsons, Mark (Patty) Petersen and Merlin Petersen; foster daughter, Michelle Prince; grandchildren, Megan, Morgan, Alex, Matthew, Hannah and Blake; and a vast number of family and friends who were very dear and knew they had a place in her heart. \r\nIn lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Eau Claire Cancer Center. \r\nVisitation will be on Monday, May 8, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, Wis. \r\nFuneral services will be Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Northern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, Wis. \r\nPlombon Funeral Service, Stanley, Wis., is assisting the family with arrangements.
