IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra Sue
(Polinske) Krumenauer
April 13, 1940 – March 22, 2025
Sandra Sue Krumenauer, 84, of Apple Valley, Minnesota, formerly of Eau Claire, WI passed away on March 22 at Ecumen Seasons Memory Care. She was lovingly surrounded by her family. She was born in Eau Claire on April 13, 1940 to Lawrence and Norma (Martin) Polinske. She graduated from Memorial High School, class of 1958. She was blessed with a large, loving family. Sandy and her former spouse David W. Krumenauer had six children. Kimberly (David) Lindquist, Kelly (Bill) Priest, Karla (Jeff Crosby) Anibas, Kerri (Brett) Gerdes, Kurt (Julie) Krumenauer, Kevin (Marjorie) Krumenauer. She had 12 grandchildren Virginia (Brad) McGee, Victoria Lindquist, Jacob (Tiahnah) Lindquist, Jessica Priest, Rebekah (Riley) West, Sophia Priest, Will Priest, Lauren (Paul) Marx, Brett (Dani Vierbicher) Anibas, Kylie Krumenauer, Elle Krumenauer, and Kami Krumenauer. She also had three great grandchildren, Elia, Adah, and Lucy McGee. And her younger sister, Debbie Polinske-Kimmel. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Cheryl and her grandson Joshua Lindquist. Sandy was a personal banker at Associated Bank for over 30 years, where she was adored by her customers and co-workers. It wasn't unusual for customers to skip their place in line and wait for Sandy because they couldn't resist a friendly chat with the woman who always made them laugh. She also taught ceramics and was a very talented artist. When she retired, she enjoyed spending time with family, friends, traveling and playing cards. She had a love for bright colored lipstick which she would apply with a dramatic smack. Sandy could brighten any room with a giggle and a wink. She giggled at life, at jokes, at moments of mischief and even in her final moments that giggle could be heard as if she was already on her way to making the angels laugh in heaven. Sandy's legacy is one of humor, love and joy. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, and all who knew her, will miss her more than words can express. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 1915 Hogeboom Avenue, Eau Claire, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Sandy loved bright colors, but feel free to wear what you would like, just don't forget the lipstick ladies! Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services, Eau Claire is assisting the family.
