Obituary

SARAH A. WERLEIN, 82, formerly of 300 Williams St., died Sunday July 27, 1997 at The Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 2, 1914 to Sidney and Mary (Robinson) Woodford. Sarah married Ernest Pahl in Stillwater in December 1931. She worked 23 years in the dietary kitchen at Luther Hospital, retiring in 1971.\r\nSurvivors include three daughters, Dorothy (Herbert) Larson of Hillsdale, Lucille Meservey of Chetek and Bonnie (Bernie) Trettin of Eau Claire; a daughter-in-law Joyce Pahl of Eau Claire; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband; a son, John Pahl; her parents; four brothers and three sisters.\r\nSarah was a loving Mother who was devoted to raising her family and enjoyed her hobby of crocheting bedspreads as gifts to her family and friends.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, with Pastor John F. Wreford of Truax Congregational United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, Town of Washington. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
