Selma A. Albares, 91, formerly of Eau Claire passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in the loving care of her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter in Maplewood, MN\r\nShe was born November 3, 1917, to Herman and Wilhelmina (Strasburg) Hass in the town of Lincoln, Eau Claire County. \r\nSelma married LeRoy C. Albares on October 19, 1940, in Mason City, Iowa. \r\nShe is survived by her son, Wayne (Arlene) of Winter; daughter, Janice (Jackie) Wright of Maplewood, MN; two granddaughters, Christine (Christopher) Henes of North Yarmouth, ME, and Darlene (Tom) Buckman of Inver Grove Heights, MN; a step grandson, James (Georgia) Wright of Henderson, NV; two great-granddaughters, Melissa and Briana Henes; her sister, Gladys Reetz of Eau Claire; brother, Arnold Hass of Fall Creek; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, LeRoy in 1995.\r\nFuneral services were held on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor David J.
