SELMA "SALLY" O. FRANSON, 69, of 3112 Hamilton Ave., Altoona, died Monday, June 7, 1999 at her home. She was born on March 12, 1930 in Osseo, Wisconsin to Carl and Olga (Axelson) Edmundson. Sally graduated from Lincoln Hill High School in Osseo with the class of 1948. She married Albert T. Franson on February 16, 1963 in Eau Claire. She worked 19 years at Luther Hospital as a Ward Secretary until her retirement in 1991.\r\nSally was a member of Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church and its Women of E.L.C.A.\r\nSurvivors include three sisters, Minnie (Arthur) Thoen, Lillian Nelson, and Theola (Orwin) Sands all of Eau Claire; a sister-in-law, Ruth Franson of Altoona; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1992; her parents; a brother, Orville Edmundson; a sister, Mary Franson; and a brother-in-law, Gilman Nelson.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church inthe town of Drammen, with Pastor William Wendt officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church.
