Sharon S. (Steiner) Martin, 69, of Eau Claire and formerly of Jupiter, FL, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Dove Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Eau Claire. She was born in Eau Claire on June 30, 1937, the daughter of Gordon and Lillian (Sherman) Steiner. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1955.\r\nGrowing up in Eau Claire she was member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Sweet Adeline's.\r\nSharon moved to Florida in 1973 where she married Victor Martin on September 18, 1977, in Lantana, FL. She was an active member of Living Word Lutheran Church in Lantana, participating in the church choir and altar guild.\r\nShe worked as a medical transcriber at Luther Hospital before moving to Florida where she worked 25 years at JFK Hospital in Lake Worth, FL and several years at a private medical clinic until her retirement in 2003. \r\nShe returned to Eau Claire this past May to be near her family.\r\nSharon is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Graeme) Chaple of Fridley, MN; three grandchildren, Linus, Milo and Chloe Chaple; her sister, Sibyl (Dennis) Reiter of Eau Claire; two nieces Elizabeth Reiter of Des Moines, IA, and Melinda (Jeffrey) R. Schroepfer of Hammond, WI; nephew, Joshua Reiter of Round Lake, IL; and her former husband, Victor Martin of Okeechobee, FL.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving her family.\r\n \r\n
