Sheila J. Ballou, 60, of Eau Claire, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at her home after a long battle with ALS.\r\nShe was born on February 28, 1950, in Chippewa Falls, a daughter of John and Betty (Edington) O'Donnell. \r\nShe graduated from McDonell Central Catholic High School in Chippewa Falls, WI.\r\nSheila worked for Holiday Inn for 19 years.\r\nShe loved to spend time shopping and traveling with her mother, and was a devoted fan of the Packers. Sheila enjoyed reading, and the beauty of nature and flowers.\r\nShe loved being with her granddaughters and her family. Sheila was a wonderful loving person to everyone she knew, and had a heart of gold.\r\nShe will be dearly missed by her family and friends.\r\nSheila is survived by her son, Dana Ballou; mother, Betty O'Donnell; granddaughters, Kyra Hazen and Kassie Browning; three brothers, Jim (Christine), Don (Jan), and Steve (Michele Miexner) O'Donnell; five sisters, Peggy (Dairl) Martin, Barb Klayman, Maureen Horne, Jackie (Dave) Lorentz, and Mary (Gerry Wright) O'Donnell; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her father, John; and a brother, Paul.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\n
