Obituary

Sherwood E. Stolp, 92, of 414 Talmadge St., died Friday, March 21, 2003 at home. He was born on May 19, 1910 in Eau Claire, the son of Henry and Anna (Drier) Stolp.\r\nOn November 14, 1928 he married Irene P. Flackoy in Eau Claire.\r\nSherwood owned and operated Stolp Radio and Television for 50 years.\r\nHe was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.\r\nSurvivors include four daughters, Marilyn (Thomas) Schoonover and Nancy Stocks both of Eau Claire, Avis (Jerry) Bergh of San Antonio, TX and Shirley (Kenneth) Reitmeier of Shakopee, MN; two sons, Dr. Sherwood (Jeanine) of Wauwatosa and Don of Eau Claire; 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Rodger (Joan) Stolp of Eau Claire.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene in 1985; his wife, Marjorie in 1990; and a brother, LaVerne Stolp.\r\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Eugene A. Klink officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. There will be a 6 p.m Prayer Service Tuesday at the funeral home.
