Obituary

SHIRLEY A. WEBER, 76, of 2410 Hallie Lane, died Monday, January 4, 1999 at her home. She was born on October 8, 1922 in the town of Sherman, Dunn County, to Lee and Alta (Cook) Webster. Shirley married Alfred Weber, on February 11, 1950 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eau Claire. She was employed at Uniroyal Tire Company for 10 years. Shirley was a charter member of St. Olaf Catholic Church, where she worked at the rectory and with the school hot lunch program, and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed observing nature, gardening, and bird watching.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Alfred; a daughter, Sharon (Michael) Whalen of Eau Claire; a sister, Doris Gaard of Chippewa Falls; three step-grandchildren, John Whalen of Boston,MA, Maurice (Denise) Whalen of Ham Lake,MN, and Julie (David) Murray of Eau Claire; and two step-great grandchildren, Danika and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by a son, Norman in 1954; two brothers, Ivan and Stanley Webster; five step-brothers, Lyle, Virgil, Boyd, Ward and Earl Webster; and three step-sisters, Lila Patenaude, Edna Jones, and Bernice Williams. \r\nMass of Christain Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Catholic Church with Father Frank Corrradi officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. There will be a 6 p.m. Parish Vigil Prayer Service Tuesday at the funeral home.
