Sigrid Ann Buxton, 73, of Eau Claire, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. She was born on April 27, 1940, in Eau Claire, to Marvin and Harriet (Smith) Jacobson. On November 1, 1958, she married Larry Buxton at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Eau Claire. She worked for the Eau Claire school district food service program for many years. Sigrid is survived by her husband, Larry Buxton; sons, John Buxton and Mark (Edie) Buxton; grandson, Tony Buxton; granddaughter, Carissa Buxton; great-grandson, Jessie Buxton, all of Eau Claire; sister, Bonnie (Bernard) Gruber of Mondovi; long time friend, Dorothy Buxton of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Alva Hays. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Michael Wollman officiating.
