SIGRID M. PONGRATZ, 94, formerly of Half Moon Lake Apts., died Sunday, August 10, 1997 at Luther Hospital. She was born March 1, 1903 in Oslo,Norway to August and Agnes Holmes. She came to Eau Claire at the age of six with her family. Sigrid worked 37 years at Huebsch Laundry where she retired as office manager. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for over 70 years. \r\nSurvivors include a sister, Viola (Adrian) Krueger of Mpls,MN; two nephews, Robert Holmes of Waukegan,IL and David Krueger of Rochester,MN; and a niece, Phyllis Reed of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Torlief Holmes.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Fehr officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Thursday.\r\n
