\r\nSpencer D. Tollefson, of Hudson, WI and former resident of Eau Claire, WI died on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Spencer was born in Eau Claire on April 13, 1950 to Hubert ( Bud ) and Lorraine Tollefson.\r\nSpencer attended Eau Claire schools, graduating form Memorial High in 1968. He met Jana Anderson while in Junior High School; they were married at Grace Lutheran Church on June 30, 1973. They enjoyed over 38 wonderful years together. Spencer worked in sales in Eau Claire until he retired and moved to Hudson in 2001.\r\nMuch of his life was devoted to care of others; Spencer touched so many people with his acts of love and kindness when it was needed the most. He was the first to offer help or advice to anyone who asked. He made many good friends and held them all in his heart even though the miles and years may have separated him from them. \r\nFrom Fall to Spring you would find him outside, starting with bow hunting, then gun season with his friends in Hovey Valley in Buffalo County. He would spend time skiing and enjoyed going ice fishing on lakes all over northwestern Wisconsin.\r\nSurvivors include his loving wife, Jana; his mother, Lorraine Tollefson of Eau Claire; his mother in-law, Marilyn Anderson of Hudson, WI: a brother in-law, Thomas (Sarah) Anderson of Scottsdale, AZ.; a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Anderson of Hudson, WI. a sister, Alyece (Jon) Kleinschmidt of Marathon, WI; and a brother, Todd (Kari) Tollefson of Eau Claire. He is further survived by his special nieces and nephews: Daniel Anderson, Kathryn Anderson, Johanna Anderson, Jennifer Anderson, Madeline Anderson, Dante' Kleinschmidt and Spencer R. Tollefson and many uncles, aunts and cousins.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father, and his father-in law, Leo Anderson.\r\n Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave., Eau Claire, with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. at church on Wednesday. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. \r\n Memorials may be directed to Bob's House in Eau Claire or St. Croix Animal Friends.
