Stephen Mark Ellenson, age 59, of Altoona, WI, passed away on October 21, 2015. Stephen was born in Eau Claire on December 22, 1955, to Conrad and Marian (Williams) Ellenson. Stephen graduated from Memorial High School and attended Chippewa Valley Technical School. He married Patricia Amelse on September 19, 1980. He worked in the supercomputer industry for the majority of his career. Stephen was a gentle man, well read, a sharp wit and had a great sense of humor. He loved traveling, history, music and sports. He especially enjoyed spending time with all his nieces and nephews and took great pleasure when they were around. He will be deeply missed but not forgotten. Stephen is survived by his wife, Pat; brothers, Jim (Elaine) Ellenson and Jeff Ellenson; Pat's family; along with nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jerry Ellenson and David Ellenson. Requiem Eucharist will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Christ Church Cathedral, 510 S. Farwell St. in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Inurnment will be in Christ Church Cathedral Columbarium.
