Steven 'Ox' Caneff, age 47, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire. Steven was born on May 19, 1970, to Daniel and Vera (Stassel) Caneff. Steven was nature's child, enjoying all things nature, including hiking and campfires. Steven also liked singing and spending time with his family and friends. He was always there to lend a hand. Steven is survived by his sisters and brothers, Dawn (Dennis) Ponick of Jim Falls, WI, John (Saira) Caneff of Holcombe, WI, and Daniel Jr. (Bobbi) Caneff of Chippewa Falls, WI; daughter, Natalie (Andrew) Chaney; and grandchildren, William and Bella Chaney. A celebration of life will be held at 1 PM on July 23, 2017, at the Pine Grove Pavilion (across from the buffalo), Irvine Park, Chippewa Falls, WI.
