Steven T. Hasenmueller, 41, of Souix Falls, SD passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009 of a rampant infection at Sanford Medical Facility in Souix Falls, SD where he made his home for the last thirteen years. \r\nSteve was born on April 11, 1968 in Eau Claire, WI to Charles and Shirley (Berg) Hasenmueller.\r\nHe graduated from McDonell Central High School in Chippewa Falls in 1986 where he played basketball. \r\nHe worked as a livestock dealer for several years with his father. He also did business on his own in Wisconsin until July 1995 when he moved to Souix Falls, SD.\r\nChristiana Wald and Steve were married on July 4, 2001. Were later divorced but remained lifelong friends. \r\nSteve worked for a cattle buying company in South Dakota until he later began his own cattle buying business which he was engaged in until his death. \r\nSteve is survived by his brothers, Eric (Teresa) Berg of Naperville, IL and Peter (Tracy Wright) Hasenmueller of Eau Claire; he his also survived by his former wife and lifelong friend, Christiana Wald; additional survivors include nephews, Eric Berg, Jr. and John Berg; niece, Lauren Wright-Hasenmueller; and Christiana's children, Qiundre and Adeline Wald; and several dogs whom he loved.\r\nSteve had many good friends in Souix Falls and in Wisconsin.\r\nSteve was preceded in death by his parents.\r\nMemorial Services will be held at Noon, Saturday, May 15, 2009, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54703.
