Steven G. Horne, 54, of Eau Claire died Thursday, April 28, 2005. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 3, 1950, to William and Earlene (Arbegust) Horne. \r\nSteven graduated from Chippewa Falls High School with the class of 1968. He then attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and graduated with an automotive degree. For the majority of his career, Steven worked in computer assembly.\r\nSteven served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post #305.\r\nSteven adored his children; he loved being a father and grandfather, was a loyal son and great friend. He loved his grandson more than anything else. He liked listening to his son, Caleb's band. Steven enjoyed motorcycles, the Packers and the Brewers, fantasy football, fishing.\r\nSurvivors include his mother, Earlene Horne of Inver Grove Heights; his father, William Horne of Fort Myers, FL; three children, Caleb Jon of Blue Mounds, Rebecca Joy of Altoona, and Rachel Alicia Horne of Eau Claire and their mother Maureen of Eau Claire; one grandson; Aidan; brother, Jon; two sisters, Nancy (Brad) Wucherpfennig of Burnsville, MN and Sara (Steve) Lenertz of Minneapolis, MN; and nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his grandparents Hans and Elizabeth Horne and Earl and Minnie Arbegust.\r\nFuneral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2005, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon D. Thorpe officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.\r\n
