Steven C. Krahn, 63, of Eau Claire died Monday, October 1, 2007, at Luther Hospital.He was born in Eau Claire on October 8, 1943, the son of Charles and Doris (Wold) Krahn.\r\nHe graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire with the class of 1961.\r\nSteve married Margaret A. Meagher in Chippewa Falls at Church of Notre Dame on July 27, 1968.\r\nHe began working at Uniroyal in Eau Claire in 1964 and retired from the inspection department in 1992.\r\nSteve loved bow and gun hunting for deer up north with family at hunting camp. Steve's signature was the neighborhood fish fry's that he and Margaret organized every year. He was out ice fishing most everyday through the winter on one of his favorite lakes, and saved fish for the neighborhood gatherings and those with family and friends. \r\nSteve is survived by his wife, Margaret, sister-in-law, Geraldine (Richard) Hutton of Chippewa Falls; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his mother Doris, and his father Charles who died as a pilot in World War II.\r\nFuneral services will be held tomorrow at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Amy Odgren officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Thursday until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery in Eau Claire.\r\n
