Susan L. Gunderson (Hunchar) 78, of Eau Claire WI died at home peacefully on Sunday, September 28, with her husband Larry by her side. Susan was born in Valley City, ND on December 10, 1946 and the family moved to Osseo, WI when she was 4 years old, where she grew up and graduated high school. She married Larry Gunderson on September 25, 1965. Together they had two daughters, Melissa and Amy. Susan enjoyed being on a few bowling leagues in her younger adult years, going to her husband's softball games always bringing her children with. She enjoyed cooking, reading books and putting puzzles together. She also really enjoyed cheering for her grandchildren at sporting events, and having the grandkids come to stay the night. Above all she loved her Milwaukee Brewers. Susan is survived by her husband, Larry of 60 years; daughters, Melissa Engen (Todd Hoenisch) and Amy English (Todd); brother, Dennis Hunchar (Nora); brother in-laws, Greg Senn, Jim Gunderson (Joann), David Gunderson (Liz) and Daniel Gunderson; grandchildren, Evan, Alexandra, Dylan and Payton; 6 great grandchildren, Taylor, Raegan, Bennett, Otto, Mason and Hudson; as well as many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lois Hunchar; sister, Bonnie Senn; brother, Jim Hunchar; father and mother in-law, Arnold and Marie Gunderson; son in-law, Gary Engen; sister in- law, Nancy (John) Ward and nephew, John-Jon Ward. Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday, October 6, 2025, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar St. Eau Claire, with Pastor Josh Toufar officiating.
