Susan Julie Olson, 56, of Altoona passed away peacefully Sunday, November 9, 2003 after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born in Eau Claire on July 25, 1947, the daughter of Lowell and Lois (Kloss) Olson.\r\nSusie attended schools in Altoona and Eau Claire. She lived at the Oakwood Villa Nursing Home for the past 20 years. While she was a resident there, she brought joy to the staff and other residents.\r\nSurvivors include her parents, Lowell and Lois Olson; a brother, Don (Joan) Olson all of Altoona; three sisters, Sandy (Herb) Endle of Eau Claire, Cheri (Ed) Kretschmer of Eden Prairie, MN, and LuAnne Olson (Jeff Becker) of Altoona; three nephews, Jeremy Johnson, Nick Endle, and Nathan Olson; five nieces, Sara Johnson, Kari Endle, Kelly Olson, Melisa Johnson, and Katie Kretschmer; her special cousin, Eileen Pippenger; and her special friend, Dory Miller; aunts and uncles, Bud Kloss of New Auburn, Merlin (Y) Olson of Show Low, Arizona, Donna (Jim) Prough of Stoughton.\r\nSusie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alvin and Lillian Kloss; her paternal grandparents, Bernie and Hazel Olson.\r\nFuneral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor David B. Karolus officiating. Burial will be Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Relatives and friends may call from noon Wednesday until time of services at the church.
