Dr. Susan Jean Momont, 43, of Eau Claire died Monday, September 4, 2006, at her home. She was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on May 29, 1963, the daughter of Eugene and Rita (Harden) Momont.\r\nSusan married Scott D. Isaacson on February 12, 2004, on Governor's Beach at Grand Cayman Island.\r\nSusan grew up in the Wausau area and attended D.C. Everest High School, graduating in 1981. She completed her undergraduate studies at UW-Milwaukee and graduated from UW-Madison Medical School in 1990. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee. She became Board Certified with the Academic College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1997. Susan moved to Eau Claire in 2000, where she joined Obstetrical&Gynecological Care at Oakleaf Medical Network. \r\nSusan cared deeply about her work. She loved her patients and always offered them her extra personal touch, often receiving cards, notes, and pictures of newborns in return. Susan's favorite activities were rollerblading, dancing, traveling, and gourmet cooking with her husband, Scott. She also loved doing fun things with her two stepchildren, Lauren and Ryan; and spoiling her little Shih Tzu, Barney. Susan was a very caring and compassionate doctor, a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. \r\nSusan is survived by her husband, Scott; two stepchildren, Lauren and Ryan Isaacson of Eau Claire; her mother and stepfather, Rita and James Sopata of Wausau; her father, Eugene (Audrey) Momont of Iron River, MI; her brother and sister-in-law, Drs. Michael and Kristin Momont of Duluth, MN and their children, Katherine, Caroline, and Nathan; mother and father-in-law, David and Janice Isaacson of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Pam (Mark) Crandell of Eau Claire; and children, Sarah Jensen of Bend, OR and David Jensen of Eau Claire; along with two aunts and uncles.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her grandparents.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire, with Pastor David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in Medford Evergreen Cemetery at Medford, WI at a later date. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, Eau Claire, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Ruth House Women's Shelter at Hope Gospel Mission, P.O.
