IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan Marie
Schrantz
August 9, 1965 – August 1, 2024
We honor the memory of Susan Marie Schrantz, who left this world on August 1st, 2024, at the age of 58. Sue was a beloved wife, mother, and a great friend to many. Born August 9th, 1965, Sue spent her childhood visiting cousins, aunts, and uncles and making memories with her many friends. She graduated from Regis High School with the class of 1983. Following graduation, she spent time in Louisiana and California before deciding to settle back in the Chippewa Valley. During that time, Sue's career as a Service Coordinator at Blaine's Farm and Fleet spanned over 20 years where she was known for her fun personality and strong work ethic. Her career was also where she met her husband, Mike Schrantz. Sue's life was deeply characterized by her devotion to her husband with whom she shared a loving marriage of over 20 years. They loved each other dearly. Sue was an avid reader, finding enjoyment in James Patterson novels. She found peace in journaling and joy through channeling her creativity. You could always tell when Sue would leave her artistic flair in a special space. Sue treasured spending quality time with her friends, time marked with camaraderie and laughter reminiscing about the good 'ol days. Sue cherished every moment spent with her seven grandchildren making banana bread, going to plays at the theater, and spending time outside together. These moments were filled with love and laughter that will be remembered forever. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, yet her compassion extended far beyond her immediate circle. Sue was a dedicated volunteer, giving her time and energy to numerous causes. Her selfless spirit and desire to make the world a better place left an indelible mark on her community. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing Sue has found peace in eternal rest. Sue is survived by her husband Michael Schrantz; children Kelly Eaton (Sam), Tessa Stage, Emily Berger (Steve), stepdaughter Jessie Spores (Robert); grandchildren Cambriella, Jack, Jazabelle, Ramona, Catherena, Andrew, Jessa; and beloved pets Blackjack and Peanut. She is preceded in death by her mother Kathleen Simenson as well as other loved family members. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 11th, 2024 at the WEST CHAPEL Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home (1405 N. Clairemont Avenue) in Eau Claire, WI. The service will be presided over by Sue's cousin, Reverend Steve Daggett. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Memorial gifts will be used to donate a park bench in Sue's memory in a community park where her friends and family may visit her. Sue's family asks that memorial gifts for this be directed to her daughter, Kelly Eaton. For those who wish to honor Sue with flowers, please send them to Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home West Chapel location by Saturday, August 10th.
