IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry Steven
Voss
December 8, 1945 – November 9, 2025
Terry Steven Voss, 79, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, in the early hours of November 9th, 2025. Son of Helen Voss (Zell), and Clarence Voss, he was born December 8th, 1945 in Eau Claire, WI. His family moved to Milwaukee WI, and graduated high school in 1963, then the family moved back to Eau Claire, WI. Terry was drafted in 1967 and served proudly during Vietnam as a medic helping his fellow servicemen. When Terry came back from Vietnam, he loved spending time with his friends and brothers going to concerts, playing his guitar, working on cars and fishing to name a few things. He had a love for WWII planes, volunteering in the late 1980's at the Planes of Fame Museum in Eden Prairie, MN and worked and flew on many World War II planes. Later in life, Terry spent a lot of his time with his daughter and family and enjoyed his time with them. To me, my father was amazing, he taught me so many things including my appreciation for all types of music, from big bands to country to rock n roll. Star Trek, singing Tom T. Hall songs and "Rubby Ducky" to me while I sang along as a small child. And the older I got he became someone I could talk to and rely on when I needed anything and of course taught me how to drive. There were not many days that went by I didn't speak to him as an adult. He taught me about empathy when I was younger and something I passed on to my children. While I lost my most beloved dad, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He was my rock when I needed him and to others as well. There was so much more to him than just dad, though to me that was his greatest roll - he was also a beloved friend to many and loving uncle. He was preceded to heaven by his mother and father, four brothers: Darrell Voss, Charles Voss, James Voss and Douglas Voss and three sisters: Marlene Adrian (Voss) Patty Voss and Joan Voss. He is survived by his daughter: Jennifer Shaw (Chad) of Eau Claire, WI. And his two grandchildren: Aiden Shaw of Eau Claire, WI; and Kelsey O'Branovich (John) of Eleva, WI. A celebration of life for Terry will be held in the spring of 2026. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Arrangements were entrusted to Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Online condolences for Terry's family may be left at www.lenmarkfh.com.
