Theodore A. "Ted" Miland, age 91, of 6102 State Road 93 S. , died Thursday, March 21, 1996 at Luther Hospital. Ted was born March 20, 1905 in Trempealeau County near Eleva, to Ole and Carrie (Stenerson) Miland. He married Arvilla Peterson on November 19, 1932 in Milwaukee. He first taught at Porter School in the Town of Washington and later returned to school, earning his degree from Eau Claire Teachers College. Following graduation he taught at Loyal High School and was later principal at Strum High School for several years. He worked at Uniroyal twenty nine years, retiring as a supervisor in 1970. Ted was a member of First Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of sixty four years Arvilla; a son, Gerald of Eden Prairie, MN, ; a granddaughter, Tari Wiest of Etters, PA,; a grandson, Todd Miland of Middletown, PA.; a great-granddaughter, Amber Lynn Wiest of Etters, PA.\r\nHe was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly; his parents; three sisters, Mabel Solfest, Helen Miland and Agnes Gunnes.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\n
