Theresa Helen (Mousel) LaRock March 31, 1959 - February 16, 2025 Theresa Helen LaRock, age 65, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Theresa was born March 31, 1959, in Eau Claire, WI to Lawrence "Duke" and Eva (Rudahl) Mousel. She grew up in Elk Mound and graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1977. Theresa was employed at UW-EC in food service and at Sacred Heart Hospital and Oakwood Hills Senior Living in housekeeping. On August 10, 1985, she married Albert "Ab" LaRock in Eau Claire. After becoming widowed in 2016, Theresa moved to St. John's Apartments and thoroughly enjoyed her friends and community there: decorating the lounges, helping in the food pantry, assisting in church services and helping others in any way she could. Theresa had a deep passion for life's simple joys. She found pleasure in assembling puzzles, diamond art, crafting beautiful hangers, note cards and bookmarks, along with baking treats to share. No one could top her cut out cookies. Above all, Theresa was a nurturing soul, always ready to care for others and lend a helping hand. Her happiest moments were spent with family and friends, sharing laughter and love. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, Theresa was never far from the excitement of the game. Her heart also found joy in classic country music, often playing her favorites while spending time at home. She truly cherished the people in her life, and her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Theresa is survived by her children, Chris (Karina Widstrup) LaRock of Winona and Tanya LaRock of Eau Claire; stepsons, Rick LaRock and Tony (Michelle Brassfield) LaRock; step-son-in-law, Andy (Cindy) Hewitt; and grandson, Greyson Strassburg, who was her pride and joy. She is also survived by step-grandchildren, Heather (Stephen) Allen, Jocelyn (Tony) Stanton, Matthew LaRock, Derek LaRock, Blake Patreaude-LaRock, Jenna LaRock, and Noah Sobottka; step-great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Stanton, Shawn Allen and Colton Allen; siblings, Jeanne Mousel, Mary (Bob) Myers, Barb Meyer, Judy (Randy) Mayer, Patty (Carl) Marlette, Tim (Brenda) Mousel, Robert (Vickie) Mousel, Tom (Pam) Mousel, Carrie (Don) Wirth, Rose (Ron) Hopper; one sister-in-law, Barb Morse of Cleghorn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ab, brother, Steven, sister, Deborah, stepdaughter, Lori Hewitt, and brothers-in-law, Eugene LaRock, Rod LaRock and Anoop Dhillon. A visitation will take place on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 1 PM until 3 PM at WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, with a Time of Remembrance Service at 3 PM. Interment will take place at a later date at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery near Spooner.
