Thomas Jerome Hawke of Fall Creek, WI, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at the Fall Creek Valley Care Center with his family by his side. He was born February 27, 1926, in Eau Claire to William&Doris (Ryan) Hawke. He graduated from Eau Claire High School and joined the Marines. Thomas married Elizabeth Y. Stewart on June 21, 1948. She passed away on January 31, 1998. He was employed by various local dairies all of his working career retiring in 1981. Thomas is survived by one daughter, Jeanne (Jeff Moss) Brost of Fall Creek; two sons, William (Carol Lemke), and Robert, both of Eau Claire; three granddaughters, Jamie (Jacob) Cross and Ashley Hort both of Fort Wayne, IN, and Amy (Jerome) Martinek of Chippewa Falls; two great grandchildren, Keaton and Olivia Martinek of Chippewa Falls; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Elizabeth Hawke; daughter, Linda Hort; brothers, LeRoy, Benjamin, and James. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19 2009, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Bryan officiating. Burial with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post #53 will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday all at the funeral home. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Fall Creek Valley Care Center for all of their support and compassion over the past few years.
