Obituary

THOMAS "GORDON" KEITH, 93, of 217 Lake St., died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, at the M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home. He was born March 19, 1904, to Thomas and Mary (Grassie) Keith in Eau Claire. In 1926, he was graduated with honors, from Amherst College in Amherst,MA. Gordon married Gladys H. Peterson in Eau Claire on June 7, 1947. He was in business as a real-estate broker, with his father, his uncle Alexander Keith and cousin Alexander Keith and with B.K. Building, until his retirement. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Society of Mayflower Descendants.\r\nGordon and Gladys enjoyed their summer home on Madeline Island, where his grandfather first built a family cabin in 1895. He enjoyed gardening there, and the opportunity to fish and visit with family and friends. \r\nSurvivors include his wife of fifty years, Gladys; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. John J. Keith; and two sisters, Effie K. Nall and Mary Elizabeth Blair.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Ronald D. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call a half hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\n
