Thomas R. "Tom" Perry, age 79, passed away on February 8th, 2019 at Mayo Health Systems - Eau Claire after a brief illness, with his family by his side. He was born on February 14th, 1939 in Eau Claire to the late Henry and Elizabeth Perry. He married Marlene Winger and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Tom worked for the Post Office for over 30 years retiring in 1992. Tom was an avid reader and family man. Tom and Marlene enjoyed traveling while their kids were young and camping as they grew older. As his family grew, Tom adored his daughters-in-law and cherished his four grandsons, especially attending all their sporting events and activities. Tom is survived by his wife, Marlene; sons, Kevin (Margie), of Cambridge, WI, and Gregg (Janalee) of Altoona; grandsons, Nathan (Nicole), Michael, Ryan, and Colin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Coni) Winger, Julie Hepfler, and Randy (Cathy) Winger. Tom is further survived by a special niece, Susan (Mike) McQuillan; and several other nieces, nephews and special friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hank and Don; sister, Joyce (Larry) Wendt; and brother-in-law, David Hepfler. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 1st Ave, Eau Claire.
