Thomas E. Pratt, age 72 of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Sacred Heart Hospital, after a courageous battle with Leukemia (AML). Tom was born on April 2, 1939, to Leonard and Mary Jane (Stubbs) Paulson, in Eau Claire, WI. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1957. He later joined the United States Air Force where he was Honorably Discharged. Tom worked for the Eau Claire Press Company for 20 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Leader Telegram Trap Team and a member of the Rod and Gun Club for many years. After retiring, Tom spent much of his time as an avid sportsman which included; training his dogs, hunting, fishing and camping, four-wheeling, going to Canada and going out West, along with many more outdoor activities, but what Tom cherished most, was spending time with his family and friends. Tom is survived by daughters, Michelle (Greg) Ackerman, Shiela (Dave) Brunner and Mary (Bob) Duval; sons, Thomas (Becky) Pratt Jr. and Bill (Kris) Pratt; grandchildren, Kara, Shawn, Rachel, Jenae, Christa, Jessica and Katelyn; siblings, Robert and William (Gayle) Pratt; special nephew, Jason (Victoria) Pratt; best friend, Steve Svihovec; along with many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mary Jane Paulson and Loren Pratt; and his wife, Susan, who was the love of his life. Tom will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, with a visitation beginning at 5 p.m. Pastor Scott Miller will be officiating the service. The family would like to thank Dr. Kidess and Dr. Naqvi, along with their staff, for all their wonderful care.
