Thomas Allen
Schroer
January 19, 1958 – November 24, 2025
Tom Schroer, 67, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away on November 24, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. Tom was born on January 19, 1958, in Eau Claire, where he grew up and formed lifelong connections. He spent many years living in California before returning to Wisconsin for the latter part of his life. Tom loved staying active-he enjoyed playing golf and had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, particularly motocross racing. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were defining parts of his life. A talented and accomplished carpenter, Tom was known for his exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. He dedicated many years to his work with R. Tews Construction, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. In the later years of his life, he provided devoted care for his mother during her illness, a testament to his deep love and loyalty to family. Tom is survived by his siblings: Lee Annette (Mike Webb) of Roseville, CA; Mike Schroer of Lake Wissota; Dan Schroer (Sue Ellen) of Bloomington, MN; and Toni (Gene Dewitz) of Fall Creek, WI. He also leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews: Michelle, Lynn, Sara, Kelly, Jennifer, and Jesse. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Mac Schroer, and his brother, Don Schroer. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to family friends Gregg Bohlig and Greg Patrow for their visits, as well as Mayo Health System, Duke University Hospital, and St. Croix Hospice for their care and support during Tom's illness. The family is eternally grateful to our sister Toni for the care she provided for Tom and Don this past year. A private service will be held at a later date.
