Thomas C. Walsh, 74, died of Prion disease, Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Dove Heathcare West, Eau Claire. Tom was born in Eau Claire on July 22, 1951. His parents were Geraldine and a very special stepdad, George Werth S. who was a CWO4 Coast Guard Officer. Tom attended Memorial High School received his bachelor's degree at UW Stout and after college he moved to Milwaukee. He attended MATC evening classes for 20 years (just for fun) while working days at Marek Printing Company, working there for 32 years in doing several jobs within the production area, building maintenance and helping wherever he was needed. Tom loved camping, he hiked and camped the saddle trail of the Grand Tetons for 4 days reaching heights where he'd wake up to snow and ice on the creeks. He was a great photographer, owning several cameras and lenses taking pictures wherever he went, his camera was strapped around his neck. Tom was a huge movie buff, knowing most of those who played parts in them. He trained and flew a Cessna 150 airplane, a Cherokee Archer, a Cherokee Warrior Airplane and he built and flew his very own hang glider. He was an amazing craftsman. He would carve things from what he saw in the movies and TV. One of his pride possessions was his replica of the cabin from Little House on the Prairie in which he even built furniture to furnish the cabin with outhouse included. He enjoyed trying all the restaurants in town but, most of all being on his riding lawn mower, cutting grass here in town or up at the family's lake house where cutting trees and burning branches was his favorite past time of all. He will be missed by all who knew him. He had an incredible sense of humor. The neighborhood will newer be the same without him there. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 12:30PM - 2:00PM at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services, 814 1st Avenue, Eau Claire, WI. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Until we meet again TW Buzzsaw, rest in peace.
