Tim Bechel, 54, of Hatfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Black River Falls Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls. \r\nHe was born on August 2, 1955 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, the son of Harry M. and Mary Lou (Bauer) Bechel. \r\nTim graduated from Eau Claire North High School in 1974. He worked as a Chef at several local restaurants. For the past 10 years, he was the chief cook at the Innwood Supper Club in Hatfield. Tim was the president of the Hatfield Chamber of Commerce. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his practical jokes.\r\nTim is survived by his parents, Harry and Mary Lou; seven siblings, Tom (Penny) of Shakopee, MN, Pat (Gerry) Candell of Eau Claire, Tony (Sandi) of Wausau, Pam (Patrick) Styer of Eau Claire, Terry (Pam) of Eau Claire, Ted (Dale) of Allen, TX, and Paula Bechel of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends; and a special group of friends and colleagues from the Hatfield area.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.\r\nMemorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
