Tina D. Rohde, 60, of Eau Claire passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, surrounded by her family. Tina was born on October 23, 1955 to Lloyd and Murceil (Cleasby) Opsal, in Eau Claire, WI. She graduated from North High School. In her younger years she was a Candy Striper at Sacred Heart Hospital. Tina married John Rohde in 1981. Together they had two daughters. As a family they loved to go up north, spend time at her in-laws cabin, go camping and have family game night. Tina enjoyed life to the fullest. She had the kindest of souls and loved interacting with others; always putting them first. She worked in retail for over 30 years and for the past 10 years worked at Culver's, which she truly enjoyed and made many great friends. In her spare time Tina enjoyed shopping, gardening, cookouts and spending time with her girls. During the holidays she loved to bake and share her traditions. Her specialties were maple creams, cutouts, chapel windows, and caramels. Her annual trip to Klinger's Farm Market, with her sister, Serena, was a treasured tradition. Tina found the most joy in her grandkids; who lit up her life. Tina is survived by her husband John; two daughters, Shalene (Kyle) Button and Shannon Rohde; special friend Kathryn Quesnell; two grandchildren, Elaina and Charlie Button; four brothers, Joel Opsal, Royce (Lisa) Opsal, Darrin (Chris) Opsal, and Scott (Beth) Opsal; three sisters, Serena (Douglas) Terpstra, Renee (Dave) Nichols, and Nadine; mother-in-law, Bev Rohde; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Tina is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bruce; sister, Jessina; and father-in-law, Bill Rohde. Funeral services for Tina will be held at 11am on Monday, May 16, 2016, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shephard, 1120 Cedar St, Eau Claire, WI, with Pastor Mike Wollman officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave, Eau Claire, WI, from 4 to 7 pm and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be held following services at Brunswick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations to REACH, Inc or Irvine Park in memory of Tina Rohde.
