Vera M. Arnsdorf, 89, of Eau Claire died July 15, 2005, at Luther Hospital. She was born on a farm near Bruce, Wisconsin, on April 18, 1916, the daughter George and Irene (Bell) Cox.\r\nVera married Ernest E. Arnsdorf on February 11, 1933, in Eau Claire.\r\nVera greatly enjoyed experiencing multicolored birds at her feeder, and the deer and wild turkeys that continually visited her yard. She enjoyed her card club and any visitors could expect her to challenge them at gin rummy. Vera loved to share experiences of her eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.\r\nSurvivors include her three children, Edward Arnsdorf of Sacramento, CA, John Arnsdorf of Folsom, CA, and Mary Haton of St. Francis, MN; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Compton of Chilton, WI, and Norma Darling of Augusta, WI.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest, in 1985; her brothers, George, Kenneth, Maynard, Elden, and Michael Cox; and her sister, Lucille Reed.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral&Cremation Services with Rev. Gordon D. Thorpe officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.\r\n
