VERONE K BURT, 81, of 3101 Cameron Street, died Thursday, October 17, 1996 at Luther Hospital. She was born August 23, 1915 in St. Paul, MN. As a young child, she moved with her parents to Independence, where she grew up and attended school.\r\nVerone married Allen K. Burt in Whitehall, September 4, 1933. In 1936, they moved to Eau Claire and raised their family here.\r\nShe was a member of First Lutheran Church, and had belonged to women's circle.\r\nSurvivors include a son, James (Jacqlynn), Eau Claire; two daughters, Janis A. Smith, Eau Claire, and Judy (John) Roach, of Hayward; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen in 1989; a grandson, Matthew Burt, and a great-grandson,Adam Stolp.\r\nFuneral Services will be 11 A.M. Monday at First Lutheran Church, with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, Town of Washington. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the Church. \r\nThe Family requests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church.
