Victor D. "Vic" Schilling, 63, of Fall Creek died Saturday, September 14, 2002 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born in Eau Claire on March 24, 1939, the son of LeRoy and Lula (Gilbert) Schilling. Vic graduated from Altoona High School in 1957.\r\nHe entered the U.S. Army in April 1961 and served until March 1964 in Europe. After the military, Vic worked at Uniroyal as a foremen, supervisor and tire builder for over 25 years, until his retirement in 1992. He then worked part time with his son Dan in concrete construction.\r\nVic was an expert marksman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.\r\nVic is survived by his daughter, Carrie Schilling of Fall Creek; his son, Dan Harris Jr. of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Travis Harris of Eau Claire, and John and Chenise Anderson of Fall Creek; a brother, Bob (Joan) of Wales, WI; a sister, Marvel Newton of Brackett; and nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gary and Billy and a brother-in-law, Jerry Newton.\r\nFamily and Friends may call Tuesday, September 17, 2002 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home. There will be no funeral services following visitation.
