Vincent Rzepiejewski, 85, of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls, WI.\r\nHe was born October 16, 1920, in Milwaukee, WI. He served in the Army during WWII in the Philippine Islands, and was a member of the VFW Post 305 in Eau Claire, WI.\r\nHe married his wonderful wife Rosemary on July 23, 1949, in Cudahy, WI. \r\nHe retired from Ziegler Company as a heavy equipment repairman in 1982, and then worked five years as the Gardener at Oakwood Mall.\r\nVince was helpful, friendly, and well liked. He loved the outdoors, especially picking mushrooms, working in the yard, and creating masterpiece gardens. He was also a creative woodworker. He devoted his last two years to his wife's care.\r\nHe is survived by: his loving wife Rosemary of Chippewa Falls; four sons, Thomas (Carolee) of Eau Claire, David (Joyce) of Onalaska, Richard of Eau Claire, Paul of Eau Claire; two daughters, Karen of Eau Claire, Janet (Mike) Alekna of Wisconsin Rapids; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Ceil Fleischman of St. Cloud, FL; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nVince was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Bernard, Joseph, Walter, Robert, Peter, Theodore, and Marshall; and three sisters, Laura, Blanche, and Stephanie.\r\nVisitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, Eau Claire and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the Mae Rowan Ecumenical Center.\r\nFuneral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006, in the Chapel of Mae Rowan Ecumenical Center at Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center (formerly Lakeside Nursing Home) at 7490 156th St. Cty. Rd. I, Chippewa Falls, WI, with Father Frank Corradi officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire where VFW Post #305 will conduct military graveside rites.\r\n \r\n
